CHAKA, NYERI COUNTY — Away from the ribbon-cutting and the ceremonies, Famyard Enterprises Ltd’s Chaka plots launch ran on a small army of staff, camera crews, and last-minute logistics — the parts of a launch event that rarely make it into the highlight photos.
Running the Room
A dedicated emcee kept the day’s programme moving between the land blessing, the tree planting, and the bank partner introductions, working from a hand-held microphone and a public address system set up against the site’s fencing. Media crews moved through the crowd for most of the morning, capturing interviews with company leadership and guests for later use — including the footage and photography behind this series.
Company staff in branded polo shirts and caps were spread across the site the entire day: greeting arrivals in the car park, escorting guests of honour including former ICT Cabinet Secretary Joe Mucheru, and managing the seated area under the launch’s tented pavilion.
